born in 1968 in Yambol, is one of the internationally best-known Bulgarian writers of both prose and poetry, winner of the International Booker Prize’ 2023 for his novel »Time Shelter« [tr. Angela Rodel]. The European recognition of his work includes the Premio Strega Europeo, Jan Michalski Award, Usedom Literatur Prize, Prix Mallarmé, etc. Gospodinov lives in Sofia.
