born in Ataliva, Argentina, emigrated to Peru in 1975, where she published her first book on the situation of Peruvian women. In 1983, she settled in West Berlin; in 1995, she moved to Buenos Aires. Since 2003, she has lived between both cities. She writes literary journalism, poetry, microfiction, essays, and novels. Her stories have been published in anthologies in various languages, most recently in Greek, Portuguese, and Icelandic. Her most recent publication in German is »Reise-sprache.
