Biography
born in Deventer, Netherlands, in 1982. The Spoken Word Poet has been touring international stages since 2000. In 2009 she won the Dutch Poetry Slam Championship and other literary awards (including Meander Dichtprijs) Deckwitz is also a member of Asfaltfeën, a band in which she combines poetry, Rap, Dubstep, Electro and Folk . Ellen Deckwitz is an independent writer in Utrecht, where she works for the Poets’ Guild.
