Douglas Stuart is a Scottish-American writer and former fashion designer. He grew up in Glasgow and studied at the Royal College of Art before moving to New York. His debut novel «Shuggie Bain» won the Booker Prize and two British Book Awards, and was shortlisted for the US National Book Award for Fiction. His second novel «Young Mungo» became a number one Sunday Times bestseller. His short stories have appeared in «The New Yorker», and his essay on gender, anxiety, and class was published by «Lit Hub». Douglas Stuart lives in New York.
