born in 1981, he studied philosophy, political science, and psychoanalysis in Frankfurt am Main, Paris, Bordeaux, and Tel Aviv. Following research fellowships, including at the Max Planck Society where he focused on the functioning of the public sphere, he transitioned into cultural administration. From 2016 to 2023, he headed the Department of Culture and Science for the City of Frankfurt am Main. Since 2024, he has led the Minister’s Office at the Hessian Ministry of Science and Research, Art and Culture. One of his key areas of focus is the reorganization of documenta. He began his career as a dramaturg in the theater – an experience that continues to shape his perspective on cultural funding, institutional trust, and the role of public art. He lives in Frankfurt am Main.
