Abbou was an editor and writer for the German broadcaster »Südwestrundfunk« from 1988 to 2006, the spokesperson for the Berlin Departments of Justice and Finance from 2008 to 2011, and the deputy government spokesperson and spokesperson of the Department of Finance and Commerce in Baden-Wuerttemberg from 2011 to 2014. Before Abbou became the press secretary for Berlin BER airport from January to April 2016 he managed strategic communications for Wall AG.
