born in Wildau in 1955, studied Construction Material Process Engineering in Weimar. While working at the Berlin Building Construction Combine as a childcare worker, in the Potsdam Film Museum and as a bookkeeper in her husband’s architecture office, she made her first attempts at writing prose. Since 1995, she has concentrated exclusively on poetry and published several collections, including »Mondweiß am Revers« (tr: Lunar White on the Lapel) and »Der Himmel der Bleigießer« (tr: Heaven for the Lead Casters).
