is an agronomist with a degree from the University of São Paulo and a PhD on History of Science and Technology at the Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro. He was a member of the National Commission of Agroecology and currently works as a technical advisor with Brazilian NGOs and conducts parallel research on family farming, seeds, Agroecology and GMOs impacts.
