Bassem Hassan

is a Belgian neuroscientist and currently an Einstein BIH Visiting Fellow in Berlin. He has a PhD from Ohio State University, USA. Together with his research group at the Berlin Institute of Health (BIH), he examines the rules of cellular diversity and specialization, the networking capabilities of neural circuits and their influence on behavior, and plans to explore, inter alia, to what extent brain development is genetically determined.
