Bas Böttcher

Bas Böttcher is one of the founders of german speaking poetry-slam. His lyrics are regarded as classical slam poetry. They have been published in schoolbooks and collections of German poetry (Der Neue Conrady, Lyrikstimmen a.o.).
Apart from his two volumes of poems «Dies ist kein Konzert» and «Neonomade», he published the DVD «Poetry Clips» together with Wolf Hogekamp. As inventor of «textbox», the slam poet toured through Australia, the United States, Brazil, Russia, France, China and the United Arab Emirates. (textbox.biz)
The NZZ titeled him recently as a «pop-poetry-pionier». He lives in Berlin.
