
Annett Gröschner

born 1964 in Magdeburg, is a writer, theater maker, and journalist. Her literary and dramatic works have been honored with many prizes, most recently including the Großer Kunstpreis [Fontane Preis] of the Academy of the Arts in Berlin and the City Writing Prize of Mainz in 2025. She has been a guest performer with among others Hebbel am Ufer, the Deutsche Theater, and the Volksbühne. As a journalist, she is a cofounder of PEN Berlin and Wir Machen Das and has written and edited for major publications including the FAZ, taz, and Zeit Online. Gröschner lives and works in Berlin.
