Ane Paška

Ane Paška is an artist born on the Croatian island of Pag. A performer and musician, she graduated in Dramaturgy from the Academy of Dramatic Art in Zagreb (2010) and obtained an MA in Film and Video from the Arts Academy in Split (2019). Driven by her exceptional curiosity and need to explore various media, she has completed numerous workshops in performance, acting, and vocals. Since 2014, she has been fully dedicated to her creative work as an author, merging theater, music, text, and video into new performance forms, developing her distinctive and authentic style.

Alongside her books Slikovnica od pidžame (Picture Book Made of Pyjamas) and JaMajka Dream (iMother Dream), both accompanied by musical performances of the same titles, she has been performing her now cult musical performance IMPROVIZIJE (IMPROVISIONS) throughout Croatia and the region of Southeastern Europe since 2018, receiving enthusiastic acclaim from audiences. Dubbed “the initiator of the Croatian Extrade” by producer Marijana Radoš, who coined the term by combining the prefix “extra” with the word “estrada,” signifying a “variety show,” Ana Paška has, since June 2022, simply named her music-scenic ritual KONCART (Concart). She has also referred to her calling and her traveling workplace as the “SALON FOR BEAUTIFYING THE SOUL,” which is the first of its kind in Croatia.
