Andreas Pflitsch

Andreas Pflitsch works as a scholar of Islam and Arab culture at the Berlin Centre for Research in Literature and Culture, and teaches Modern Arabic Literature at the FU in Berlin. He worked temporarily as a professor of Arabic at the University in Bamberg in the winter semester 2008/09 and summer semester in 2009. He writes regularly in daily newspapers, including  »Tagesspiegel«, »Tageszeitung«, »Literaturen« and the weekly newspaper »Die Zeit«. He is also a consultant in Modern Arabic Literature for »Kindlers Literatur Lexikon« (published in 2009).
