Christopher Clark is a historian. He teaches as Professor of Modern European History at St. Catharine’s College, Cambridge. His book «The Sleepwalkers: How Europe Went to War in 1914 » (2012) on the outbreak of the First World War became an international bestseller. In 2023, his epoch-spanning « Revolutionary Spring: Fighting for a New World, 1848–1849 » was published, followed in 2025 by «A Scandal in Königsberg, 1835–1842». He became known to a wide television audience as the presenter of the ZDF series «Deutschland-Saga», «Europa-Saga» and «Welten-Saga». Christopher Clark lives and teaches in Cambridge.
