Mercedes Lauenstein

born in 1988 in Kappeln, Schleswig-Holstein, she currently lives in Munich. As a freelance author, she writes essays and reports for different magazines and newspapers, as well as her own blog. Since 2009, she has worked for »jetzt«, an online teen magazine of the »Süddeutsche Zeitung«. Published in 2015, her first novel »Nachts« (tr. At night), is about the strangers a young woman meets on her aimless search through a nocturnal city.
