Jörg Schmitt

born 1967 in Marburg/Lahn, after an internship with a local newspaper, Schmitt studied journalism, economic policy and law in Munich. From 1995 to 2000, he was an editor on the economics desk of »Stern« magazine, and subsequently served in the same capacity at »Manager-Magazin«. Since 2003, Schmitt has worked for the »Spiegel« magazine, exposing irregularities concerning big businesses and the world of professional sports. Schmitt received the Henri Nannen Award for Best Investigation in 2010 and 2016.
