Biography
born in Hamburg in 1928. Gerd Ruge is one of the most distinguished German foreign correspondents. He was a journalist in Moscow, the USA, Beijing and other places, and has worked as an anchorman and programme director for many different TV formats. Ruge is a co-founder of the German section of Amnesty International. His first-hand knowledge has influenced his books and documentaries. He has received numerous awards for his reportages and his commitment. Gerd Ruge lives in Munich.
