Born in Piacenza on 3 August 1982, Gabriele Dadati graduated from the University of Pavia with a degree in Modern Literature. His book of short stories »Sorvegliato dai fantasmi« (peQuod, 2006; new edition published by Barbera Editore in 2008) won the Dante Graziosi prize and was one of the finalists for the Book of the Year award given by the Radio 3 Rai programme, Fahrenheit. He writes a column on page three of the daily newspaper »Libertà«, edits the literary and art magazine »Ore piccole« with Stefano Fugazza and, alone, edits the Italian narrative series »Armi da taglio« for Barbera Editore. He is interested in art and has been involved in several exhibitions that he felt were important: the most recent include »Da Corot a Picasso, da Fattori a De Pisis« (Perugia, Palazzo Baldeschi al Corso, 2008-2009) and »Canova: l’ideale classico tra scultura e pittura« (Forlì, Musei di San Domenico, 2009). He works with Booksweb.tv, an online TV channel dedicated solely to books. He has recently finished a novel called »Il libro nero del mondo« which might be in the bookshops as you read. The author hopes so.
