an economist and lawyer, Buscaglia is director of the International Law and Economic Development Center at the University of Virginia, vice president of the Inter American Law and Economics Association and is currently a visiting professor at Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México. The American-Uruguayan advises international and bilateral organizations in North America and Europe on issues of corruption, organized crime, economy, legal reform and governance.
