Biography
Andreas Rötzer, born in 1971, studies cultural studies and philosophy in Passau and Paris. From 1999 he worked as a bookkeeper at small Munich publisher Matthes & Seitz, which he took charge of in 2004 and relocated it to Berlin. Before he began to become successful by including contemporary German literature in his portfolio, he mainly published works by French authors, among these Georges Bataille. Rötzer received the German-French Prix de l’Académie de Berlin in 2010 for his work.
