Andreas Eckert

Andreas Eckert was born in Bremen in 1964 and studied history, journalism and Romance languages and literature in Cameroon, among other places. The focus of his research is African history and colonialism, on which subjects he has published hundreds of articles in magazines and anthologies, as well as numerous books. Eckert was a guest professor at Harvard University and has taught as a professor of modern history at Humboldt University since 2002.
