The legendary comics magazine »Moga Mobo« dedicated a special issue to comics from Ukraine in 2023. In this interview, Ukrainian comics writer Zhenya Oliinyk and German publisher Titus Ackermann, editor of the issue, present the contributions. Most of the stories were written especially for the issue and tell of the artists’ experiences during the Russian war of aggression in Ukraine, which began in 2014 with the occupation of Crimea. In addition to personal experiences, they also address universal themes. Their contributions invite us to discover little-known stories of Europe.
