Joschka Fischer

born in 1948 in Gerabronn, is a former German politician. Over the course of his political career, he held the offices of Foreign Minister and Vice Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany, as well as President of the Council of the European Union. A member of the party since 1982, he was long regarded as the leading figure of the Greens. He also worked as a translator and founded a bookstore.
