born in 1982 in Ames, Iowa, grew up in Vienna. Her highly idiosyncratic and stylistically unique poetry and prose works blend philosophical allusions, contemporary observations and linguistic inventiveness with a distinct avant-garde impetus. Oftentimes traditional metrical patterns are permeated with neologisms, encyclopedic fragments and a fondness for Japanese culture. Her recent collection of thematically intervowen short stories »Lyophilia« (2019) playfully reflects futuristic phenomena.
