But Mia gradually realizes just how different their lives are. She belongs to an Indigenous community, while Lara is part of the white middle class\u2014a contrast that shapes how the world around them views the two girls. Based on the author\u2019s autobiography, this powerful book unfolds in short episodes, offering a compelling glimpse into a friendship marked by racism and classism. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br\/><strong>What happens in the workshop?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Through the friendship of Mia and Lara, pupils approach questions of prejudice and social inequality.
