Ink Drawing Workshop
Ahmadjan loves painting and drawing. His passion draws him away from his rural hometown—first to Kabul, and later, in 1972, to Germany. But starting over proves harder than expected. Amid war, displacement, and loneliness, Ahmadjan repeatedly finds his way back to life’s beautiful things: love and art. With warmth and humor, this graphic novel interweaves a Persian legend with the biography of the author’s father, offering a compelling glimpse into the history of Afghanistan.
