The denigration of Jews is not only an expression of right-wing extremist ideology, but also a phenomenon that can be found in the very center of society, both in the past as well as in the present. The recent events leading up to documenta fifteen and the resulting debate about anti-Semitism and artistic freedom show the necessity of an ongoing discussion about this topic throughout society.
