Whether as an art form, cultural practice, or everyday object – clothing is an expression of identity. But how is it defined? When does a piece of fabric become fashion or art? Is talk of the fabric of fiction merely a metaphor, or do text and textile belong together? Verena Lueken will be joined in discussion by the cultural scientist Barbara Vinken, who was nominated for the Leipzig Book Fair Prize in 2013 for »Angezogen«, Luka Holmegaard, who writes about reading and being read in »Look« (2020), and the writer, textile artist, and current Günter Grass Prize winner Ulrike Edschmid.
