Omid Nouripour is a politician (Bündnis 90/Die Grünen). He was born in Tehran and came to Frankfurt am Main with his parents at the age of 13. He has been a member of the German Bundestag since 2006 and its Vice President since March 2025. From 2022 to 2024 he served as federal chair of Bündnis 90/Die Grünen together with Ricarda Lang. For many years he has focused on foreign, security, and human rights policy. He previously worked, among other things, as a freelance contributor for the Frankfurter Rundschau. As an author he writes about migration and integration in Germany. Omid Nouripour lives in Frankfurt am Main.
