Odeh Bisharat, born in 1958 to an Arab family in Israel, is a political activist, journalist, and novelist. Among other things, he headed the Arab student organization at the University of Haifa, was involved in various Jewish-Arab movements and was Secretary General of the Chadash party. He is a columnist for the newspaper »Haaretz« and has published three novels and a children’s book to date.
