Biography
Kim Spencer, born in 1975 in British Columbia, Canada, is a graduate of the Writers Studio at Simon Fraser University which she completed with a focus on creative non-fiction. Her debut novel »Weird Rules to Follow« was published in 2022 and has received multiple awards, including the Pacific Northwest Book Award 2024 and the TD Canadian Children’s Literature Award 2023. The sequel »I Won’t Feel This Way Forever« is scheduled for release in fall 2025 by Orca Book. Kim is a member of the Gitxaala Nation and lives in Vancouver, British Columbia.
