Elgin Hertel

Was born in 1983. She is an author and radio dramatist with a focus on sound-based literature and autofictional writing. Her works center around separation from nature, internal wildness, and the question of how reconnection can make healing possible. She won awards in 2015 for her satirical radio play »SOS Du Arschloch« [tr. SOS, Asshole]. She’s currently working on »Urban Rituals« – a poetic and essayistic book about Nature Deficit Disorder, spirituality, and feminine self-alienation in the anonymous city. Hertel lives in Berlin.
