Anja Michaelsen [ Germany ]

born in Busan, South Korea, grew up in Berlin. She is incoming fellow at the ICI Berlin Institute for Cultural Inquiry. Until 2018 she was a research associate at the Institute for Media Studies at the Ruhr-University Bochum and co-editor of the »onlinejournal kultur und geschlecht«. Her work focuses on race, gender and media, adoption, queer theory, and public feelings. Her current project investigates how postmigrant film and video are structured by racialized violence.
