Martina Hesse is an actress, writer, and lecturer. Born in Merano, Italy, she studied acting at the University of Music and Theatre Leipzig. Since 2008, she has worked as a freelance artist, focusing on film, television, and audio drama. Her performance work has included collaborations with the collective She She Pop and director Ulrike Müller. For more than ten years, she has led creative workshops for companies such as Alnatura and dm. As an adjunct lecturer, she teaches acting as well as monologue and scene study at institutions including the State University of Music and the Performing Arts Stuttgart and Folkwang University of the Arts in Essen and Bochum. Martina Hesse lives in Berlin.
