Günter Herburger brings together nature and town in his poetry collection »Ein Loch in der Landschaft« (tr: A Hole in the Landscape). He cracks open stereotypes with an emphatic eye and a penetrating voice, freeing the objects from their familiar contexts and shifting reality into the realm of the fantastic.
Chirikure Chirikure unifies theatre, music and poetry in his work, thereby drawing a connection from the oral tradition of his home country to written culture. Every one of his poems is created anew when he reads them. For Chirikure, poetry is movement, which disregards barriers and is able to find its footing wherever it lands.
The later poetry of Kim Chi-Ha is rooted in traditional Asian thought, and is concerned thematically with observations of nature, the recognition of universal correlations, and subjects such as love, death, grief and solitude. His use of language is consciously frugal, in order to allow life to fill the spaces between the words.
