In her new novel the author takes up an old theme: renowned architect Oskar Marwig and his student, who is thirty years younger, fall in love. Their sexual attraction is strong, but it cannot make up for the age difference in the long-term. The author of »Mitteilungen an den Adel« (1976; tr: Message to the Nobility), a literary reckoning in the final phases of the student movement, she has also appeared as a translator for works by Shakespeare, Hemingway and Chekov, sets her story in the ‘80s.
