Mole loses his patience with his spring cleaning and decides to go outside for some fresh air instead. Along the way, he meets calm Rat, scruffy but warm-hearted Badger and conceited Toad. They encounter various adventures and eventually become friends, celebrating their freedom, chasing the seasons and loving their home above all. THE WIND IN THE WILLOWS is one of the most important children’s classics of our time. Sebastian Meschenmoser’s brand new illustrations to the novel combine subtle watercolors and expressive oil paints. The illustrator is a first-time guest at the festival and will be presenting the newly illustrated version of THE WIND IN THE WILLOWS for the first time internationally.
