Matze needs to get famous as quickly as possible so he can impress Sandy. She’s new in town and has a famous mother. Matze develops a brilliant plan: he wants to steal the mayor’s treasured chicken and then return it proudly as the rescuer in order to get into the newspaper. His friends Laura and Bruno agree to help. But when a real thief steals the chicken, the three have a problem… The only thing that can help now is superpowers. SVARTLE is a dynamically written and illustrated, humorous adventure story about family and friendship. Oyvind Torseter is a first-time guest at the ilb and will be presenting SVARTLE for the first time in Germany. “Buoyant and meaningful” (Ute Wegmann, Deutschlandfunk).
